Hair Bow parties can be another outlet for your business of selling
hair bows, or they can just be for fun.

Steps for Having a Hair Bow Party

Decide on a guest-list:
  •        Guests should include people who will have some type
of interest in hair bows (mothers, grandmothers, aunts, or
    even cheer-leading sponsors)

Decide on a party theme
-
MAKE IT ADULT FRIENDLY.  Remember, even though your
selling hair bows that will be for little girls, the party is for the
adults who will buy them -- save the Hello Kitty party for your little
ones birthday.  :)

  •     Good party themes for the summer are Hawaii or Beach
    themes:
  • Winter themes could include anything with snow
  • Be CREATIVE!!
Create your Hair Bow Display

  • Keep your guests in mind as you decide on what types of
bows you plan to present.  If they all have daughters of
ages 3 or 4, you know Dora, and other popular preschool
character bows will be popular.  However, if you're
entertaining mom's of junior-high girls, the Dora bows will
probably not do well.  You get the idea.  :)

  • Design one of each bow you plan to present to your
guests at the party.  You will only need one b/c you will
take orders at the party and fill the orders later.  This will
ensure that you aren't making more bows than you need.

  • Using your imagination, arrange your bows in a display
that is appropriate to your party theme.  Be CREATIVE
    and HAVE FUN!
This display will sit out in a visible area where the party is taking
place for all guests to view.

Create a brochure/order form
using pictures of each bow you present and maybe even extras
that you didn't bring, and a computer.  Again, use stationary
appropriate to your parties theme, and maybe even a fun
slogan that goes along with your theme.

Plan an Itinerary
Consider the following when you plan:
Four ingredients to a successful, fun party:
FOOD
GAMES
SELLS
&
FUTURE PARTY HOSTESSES

  • Plan snacks that will be fit for the theme and keep your
    guests happy

  • Decide on how you want to showcase your bows at the
party.  This is where you will use your selling techniques
and promote the quality and originality of your bows.
Pass out your brochures, use a little girl hair model, etc...

  • Come up with a game to play as the last part of the party
and promise a prize for all players.

Hair Bow Exchange is fun and rewarding to all players;
Using the hair bows you brought for display, pass them around
the group along to a song, or by using some other method
(oldest to youngest, etc...)   All players go home with a free bow
on that night.
If you plan to play this game, you may bring extra bows in case you need enough for
all the guests/players.

  • Pass out business cards and an extra brochure to all
guests, inviting them to host a party for you in their
home.  Include an incentive such as "for every 5 bows
sold at a party, hostess receives one free bow," or
    something along those lines.
